Boyd Jarrell, a 47-year-old real estate entrepreneur and beloved member of the Hyde Park community, was tragically found dead on the morning of Saturday, March 22, 2025, in his burning home on South Cornell Avenue in Chicago, IL.
Authorities confirmed Jarrell had suffered a fatal gunshot wound before the fire was intentionally set, marking a heartbreaking loss for those who knew and loved him.
Jarrell was widely respected in both the real estate world and his fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi, where he was known for his leadership and mentorship.
He was also a dedicated member of the Jackson Park Yacht Club, remembered as an avid sailor and generous friend.
Social media was filled with sorrowful tributes.
